Braemar Arts Festival is counting down the days…..

The first Braemar Arts Festival opens on Wednesday 17th October with classes in Creative Writing, Quilting, and Working with Pastels. There are still a few spaces in each of these classes so you’re not too late to register. Email Marilyn on mjdante@hotmail.co.uk

On Thursday we have the first of our music classes, with fiddle and voice instruction from Aberdeenshire’s own Paul Anderson and Shona Donaldson. Photography, Silkscreen Printing, and beginners Chanter classes are also on the programme for Thursday. If you would like more information on any of these classes, feel free to call 013397 41225, or email as above.

Friday sees the addition of Penny Whistle, traditional Wood Carving, Step Dance, Painting with Acrylics, and Story Telling to the mix. So much to choose from, but with a bit of planning it is possible to take in several classes over a couple of days. A full programme is detailed in an earlier archive on this blog, or take a look at our Facebook page.

On Saturday we have a Willow Weaving class but that is sold out! Whistle, Fiddle, Step Dancing Acrylic Painting are all still going on. On Saturday afternoon we have a very special musician’s

Group Work class. If you play an instrument come along and join in the fun at Castleton Hall.

For full details of all of the above including venues, costs and times email mjdante@hotmail.co.uk

See the next blog for details of our evening ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMMES……where there’s something to suit everybody!
