EPIC update

The Braemar Creative Arts Festival has won this years epic award for Scotland.
The Epic Awards are an annual event run by Voluntary Arts. They shine a spotlight on excellence and achievement in the amateur/voluntary arts, and champion creative cultural participation.
Fiona Hyslop, Cabinet Secretary for Culture and External Affairs, Scottish Government said: “The Epic Award Winner for Scotland, Braemar Creative Arts Festival, represents everything that is positive about voluntary arts activity in Scotland – bringing people together, showcasing new and traditional crafts, and celebrating our rural communities. Voluntary Arts Scotland’s support is enabling more people to get involved in creative activities. These awards demonstrate an ongoing commitment to ensuring our communities get the support they need to create and participate, so all the hard work and imagination that contribute to their cultural life is recognised and rewarded.
